Class Information

  • Minis, Youngers, Juniors, Teens & Adults

    Do you love singing, acting and dancing? Join our fun musical theatre show classes where you can perform as a triple threat – available for all ages. These classes work on a range of different musical theatre styles from Grease to Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera to The Lion King – there’s something for everyone! We’ll teach you all the skills required to perform in your favourite musical.

    Minis – 2-4 years (toilet trained), Youngers – 5-10 years, Juniors – 10-12 years,  Teens – 13-17 years, Adults – 18+ years

  • Music Theatre (Exam)

    Musical Theatre Exam classes work towards Victoria College of Music and London College of Music examinations with training up to teaching level. Students work on individual songs, incorporating acting and dance routines to create an all round first class performance. We pride ourselves on our excellent exam results.

  • Drama (Exam)

    Drama Exam classes work on speech, poetry, monologues and acting technique. Students will take Victoria College of Music examinations with training up to teaching level. Students work towards both Speech and Drama & Theatre Studies exams. Speech exams teach our students how to use their voice effectively, working on diction, expression and story telling. Drama & Theatre Studies exams work with monologues and duologues – small acting scenes where students learn to take on a role and perform as a character. 

  • Drama Workshop

    An acting based workshop class, building confidence in different styles of performance and learning various techniques used by practitioners. Students engage in different forms of drama expression used within the industry and how to apply it. Workshop classes also include various exercises such as voice in performance, body movement within acting, fun drama based games, self taping, script work, and so much more!

  • Children's Singing

    A group singing class designed for children, working on age appropriate vocal technique including pitch and ear training.  Children will enjoy learning popular songs whilst learning about the voice and how to safely use it. We even produce our own CDs! Ages 5-11 years.

  • Ladies Singing

    A fun group singing class tailored to women who love to sing but may not have the confidence to do so. This friendly relaxed class focuses on how to sing as an ensemble, looking at basic vocal technique and working on group harmonies to create a killer sound. Don’t worry if you’re a little nervous, it’s all about practicing and enjoying singing. Ages 18+

  • Performance

    A diverse dance class comprising of basic dance technique and styles, developing stage presence through different genres of theatrical music. This motivational class enables students to gain the skills to perform, whether it be in amateur or professional environment.

  • Ballet

    Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and and our classes are designed to guide students from their first introduction through to industry standard. Students will learn correct ballet technique, terminology, coordination, rhythm, grace, confidence and discipline whilst working towards examinations with accredited exam board IDTA.

  • Tap Dance

    Tap is one of the oldest and most loved forms of dancing which forms part of any professional dancer’s skill set. Our classes are available for any skill level, training from beginners all the way up to professional standard. This lively, rhythmic class combines technique, timing, coordination, strength and control of the legs, ankles and feet.

  • Commercial

    Commercial dance is combination of various hip hop, street and jazz styles and is used in most music videos and live performances. Focusing on powerful choreography, this fun, energetic class develops individuality whilst maintaining an urban presence.
    Minis – 3-7 years, Inters/Advanced – 8+ years.

  • Limbering

    This class is a must for all dancers and helps significantly for those already taking dance classes at Cast Academy. Limbering is a stretch based form of dance to aid body conditioning, mobility, flexibility and core strength. Exercises include splits and bridges to safely enhance a performer’s form and alignment whilst preventing injury.
