Amy is a seasoned theatre professional with a passion for the arts spanning 36 years. With 24 years of teaching experience, she imparts her expertise as a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer, known for creating award-winning routines. Holding an associate qualification with the IDTA and also a fully qualified speech & drama teacher,
Amy’s multifaceted skill set enriches her teaching style. Her journey in the industry began early, as she attended drama school in London at the age of 14, subsequently featuring in numerous adverts and TV shows.
As a casting agent, Amy has successfully nurtured talents who have worked alongside Hollywood stars such as Chris Hemsworth.
Alongside her achievements, Amy is the co-founder of Cast Academy, a performing arts school located in Wath upon Dearne

Rebecca Elliott

Producer

Rebecca is a highly respected and accomplished singing and musical theatre teacher with a strong background in vocal technique. With 20 years teaching experience and qualifications from esteemed institutions such as London College of Music, the Associate Board of Music, and Trinity College London, Rebecca has developed a profound understanding of vocal technique and pedagogy, making her a sought-after expert in her field.
In 2014, Rebecca co-founded Cast Academy, a premier performing arts academy that provides high-quality training in singing, dancing, and acting. Under her guidance, Cast Academy has established itself as a go-to destination for aspiring performers seeking to hone their craft. To further support her students’ career development, she then co-founded Elliott Parker Management, a Childrens casting agency that has secured success with major brands such as Nintendo, Amazon, and Marks & Spencer, as well as prestigious productions like Les Miserables, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Mary Poppins.
As a testament to her dedication to the performing arts and her passion for helping students achieve their goals, Rebecca continues to inspire and guide the next generation of performers. Her expertise and entrepreneurial spirit make her a valuable asset, driving growth in the performing arts sector.

Matthew Roddis

Director

Matthew, an artist hailing from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, embodies the essence of versatility in the performing arts. As a Director, Singer, Actor, and Vocal Coach, Matthew’s journey is a testament to his passion and dedication to the theatrical world.Born and raised in Rotherham, Matthew’s artistic journey began with a fervent pursuit of acting. He honed his skills at university in Sheffield, where he graduated with First Class Honors in Performance for Stage and Screen. During his time there, Matthew not only delved into the intricacies of acting but also explored directing and performance-making.After a brief stint as a primary school teacher, Matthew ventured into the realm of freelance performing arts coaching, directing, headshot photography, and graphics design for various performing arts companies in 2023. His professional expertise as a director has been recognised by prominent institutions such as NODA; working with companies such as Early Fest, and the Worksop Light Operatic Society, where he contributed his creative vision to successful productions. Matthew’s leadership skills and artistic sensibilities led him to assume the role of Director at the esteemed Dearne Musical Theatre Company.In addition to his prowess behind the scenes, Matthew is a dedicated vocal coach, lending his expertise to aspiring talents at Cast Academy, Take 2 Academy, and through his own private students. Beyond his theatrical endeavors, Matthew serves as a Senior Carer for Adults with Learning Difficulties, demonstrating his compassion and commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Matthew Symonds

Musical Director

Matt is a versatile and professional musician based in South Yorkshire, with a career that extends beyond the region. After graduating from Sheffield University, he embarked on a freelance career and has since collaborated with numerous local amateur and youth theatre companies across Yorkshire. In addition to his work in theatre, Matt teaches music at several performing arts and dance schools. He also provides a range of music services, including accompaniment, orchestration, and copyist work.

Matt’s dedication to education is evident in his role as a music teacher at a special educational needs school. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys socializing and spending time with friends and family.

Matt is thrilled to join Cast Productions and looks forward to embarking on this exciting journey, beginning with their first musical!

Sophie Roddis

Social Media Marketing & Assistant Director

Sophie discovered her passion for performing in musicals at 16 when she started training at an accredited Musical Theatre College. Her love for acting continued to grow, prompting her to pursue it further at university. Whilst at university, she had the opportunity to perform at both the Great Yorkshire Fringe and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for two consecutive years. Following this she became a professional actor, performing in two world premiere shows “Bad Dog” and “Something Else”. “Bad Dog” was nominated “best new theatre show” by the Derek Awards. Sophie is also a dedicated performing arts teacher at various performing arts schools around Yorkshire, instructing all three disciplines to a variety of ages, encouraging students to become the best versions of themselves. Sophie believes in nourishing young talent and building on techniques to enhance performances across the board. In recent years, Sophie has developed a new passion for marketing and content creation. She now has a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from theatrical companies to university lecturers, for whom she creates, designs, and schedules content. Sophie is excited to embark on our journey as we kickstart CAST Productions!
